we created welltayl after seeing our own dog struggle with skin issues, because no pet should suffer from products meant to help them.
where it began
Our dog Olli’s skin issues sparked a realization, most pet products aren’t regulated, and few protect the skin barrier. That moment set everything in motion.
the research
We partnered with veterinarians, dermatologists, and PhD toxicologists to understand what pets’ skin truly needs. Ingredient by ingredient, we built formulas with purpose and proof.
the formulation
Countless trials, lab tests, and refinements led to our first prototypes, clinically reviewed, pH-balanced, and built for the microbiome. Science met sensitivity, and the results spoke for themselves.
the validation
Every product underwent third-party testing, toxicology, EWG review, and B Corp certification. What began as a need became a new benchmark for safety and care.

When Olli, our Australian Shepherd, trotted into our lives, his well-being became priority number one. But with the joy of a new puppy came a flood of what are we supposed to do now? moments. How do we keep his skin healthy? Why does every answer seem to contradict the last? The search for clear, science-backed pet care quickly turned into a deep dive (with plenty of late-night Googling). Instead of settling for confusion, we built something better—a place where pet wellness is science-powered, easy to understand, and actually feels like a community. That’s how the Welltayl was born.
